International award-winning interior architect, Tristan Du Plessis, is based in Johannesburg, South Africa where he designs his luxury dining, hospitality, and tailor-made residential creations. TristanPlessisStudio has been created to cater for his international luxury brand of hospitality designs with StudioA being the sister company focussing on commercial hospitality design in South Africa.
Tristan is an acclaimed artist and architect who has won awards both locally and globally for his work and personal style. The awards include the global restaurant design of the year in 2019 at the Restaurant and Bar design awards in London, The Hotel of the year at the 2019 AHEAD awards (the Middle East and Africa) as well as best suite design and best hotel conversion.
Tristan didn’t stop there, with having projects listed in the Wallpaper best urban hotels as the best hotel in Africa and best hotel in Rome. He has also been named in GQ’s 10 most stylish men, Listed as one of GQ’s game changers alongside the likes of Elon Musk, and being awarded most stylish designer at the SA style awards.
