Lorraine Loots – Website

We faced a number of very unique problems whilst creating this website for Lorraine Loots. Lorraine has roughly 1000 products and about 4 variations per product which is colossal. Plus, there was the special challenge of traffic. With a following of close to 300K on Instagram, whenever she posted about a new product, the traffic would put so much strain on the server that it would end up crashing and preventing purchases from being processed.

The solution was moving to an AWS EC2 instance with elastic load balancing and variable processing power that we could scale up or down as needed (which meant that her website could handle whatever traffic might come its way).
