Anja, or Nanna Venter, wanted to create a portfolio website and shop. Her goal was to have a platform to sell her artworks and patches to the local and international markets. She also had a specific request for a commission booking platform. She imagined a system that would automate as many portions of her current manual process as possible. This included getting the brief, references, making sure the references were correct, confirming artwork titles, establishing deadlines, ensuring correct postal addresses and social media handles for posting, posting deadlines, quoting, invoicing, processing payments, following up on payment, framing, delivery/collection or shipping, and then confirmation that the artwork had actually been delivered.
We delivered this system and automated her entire commission process. The commission brief is only sent to her once all the correct information has been gathered, payment has been made and confirmed, and references have been received and checked. The only thing left for her to do is to create the artwork and sign it. Once she has completed the artwork she delivers it to us or we collect it from her. We then package the artwork and send it via a priority door-to-door service that arrives the next day before 10:30 am in South Africa for the same price (if not less) than the post office.
